01
A person calls you back
Someone on our team reads the request and calls the number you gave, the same business day during business hours. No auto-responder, no lead broker, and your details are not resold to other contractors.
02
We work out what the job actually is
Some work can be priced from photos and a clear description. Other work needs eyes on the panel, the meter, and the conductor run before anyone can give you a real number. We tell you which one yours is before we schedule anything.
03
You get a written number
The assessment is free and the estimate arrives in writing, with the scope and the permit expectations spelled out. Permit and inspection fees run $500 to $1,000 depending on the jurisdiction, and that shows up in the estimate rather than on the invoice.
Common questions
Before you call
What information should I have ready when I call?
Your property address, the type of work you need (panel upgrade, EV charger, rewire, inspection, and so on), and any symptoms you have noticed: breakers that trip, lights that flicker, warm cover plates, a burning smell. A phone photo of the panel with the cover on, plus the label inside the door, answers most of our first questions. For commercial work, square footage and the existing panel or switchgear information is what we need first.
How quickly do you respond to estimate requests?
Same business day. If you call 408-614-4451 between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday to Friday, you reach our team directly rather than an answering service. Requests sent through this form are returned the same business day. Emergency electrical service is available 24/7.
Do you charge for estimates?
No. The assessment is free. We look at the scope, give you a written quote, and you decide from there. There is no charge for the assessment visit and no obligation attached to it.
Do you handle emergencies outside business hours?
Yes. Emergency electrical service is available 24/7 at 408-614-4451. Tell us what is actually happening: a dead main, sparking, a burning smell, water in or near a panel, a breaker that will not stay set. If anything is smoking, burning, or arcing right now, call 911 first and then call us.
What cities do you serve?
All 15 incorporated cities in Santa Clara County: San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Cupertino, Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell, Milpitas, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Monte Sereno, Morgan Hill, Gilroy.
Are you bonded and insured?
Yes. Cali Rollin Electric holds California C-10 contractor license #1144031, which you can verify directly on the CSLB website, and we carry the contractor's bond and the insurance California requires for residential and commercial electrical work. Certificates of insurance are available on request for general contractors, property managers, and public agencies.
Would rather just talk to someone?
Call and describe the problem
A two-minute call usually gets you further than a form. Tell us what the panel is doing, what the breaker is doing, or what the plan set calls for, and we will tell you whether it needs a site visit or whether we can price it from there.
