Common questions
Subcontractor FAQ
Are you set up to work as an electrical subcontractor?
Yes. Cali Rollin Electric works as the electrical subcontractor for general contractors, property managers, and facilities teams across Santa Clara County and the South Bay. Our team self-performs the electrical scope rather than brokering it out, coordinates with the other trades and your superintendent, holds the schedule, and comes prequalification ready with a current certificate of insurance, license verification, and references furnished on request. You can add us to a bidder list on BuildingConnected or the Procore Construction Network, or send plans directly.
Are you registered for prevailing-wage and public works?
Yes. Cali Rollin Electric holds a DIR Public Works Contractor Registration (#2000016468) with the California Department of Industrial Relations. That registration is what allows us to be listed on and perform public-works projects in California, and it is current. Prevailing-wage jobs receive certified payroll reporting in the format your labor compliance monitor requires. Send us the project labor requirements with the bid documents and we will confirm compliance before we quote.
Are you Small Business certified?
Yes. Cali Rollin Electric is a certified California Small Business (SB), including the SB-Micro and SB-Public Works designations, through the Department of General Services. Bringing our team onto a bid can support Small Business participation on qualifying public and privately funded projects. Certification documentation is included in the prequalification package.
What is your license and service area?
Cali Rollin Electric is a C-10 electrical contractor, California license #1144031, which you can verify directly on the CSLB website. We carry 15+ years in the trade. Our service area is Santa Clara County and the wider South Bay, covering all 15 incorporated cities in the county plus unincorporated areas, and we work with whichever Authority Having Jurisdiction the site falls under.
How do we invite you to bid or send plans?
Add Cali Rollin Electric to your bidder list on BuildingConnected or the Procore Construction Network and the invitation reaches our team directly. You can also email the drawing set to info@calirollinelectric.com or call 408-614-4451. Send the plans and specifications, the bid date, the electrical schedule window, whether the job is prevailing wage, and any participation goals it carries. We will tell you the same day whether the scope and schedule are a fit rather than sitting on it until bid day.
Can you provide insurance certificates and references?
Yes. We furnish a current certificate of insurance covering general liability, commercial auto, and workers compensation, with your entity named as required, plus commercial references on request. Cali Rollin Electric is bonded and insured. For a prequalification package, send us your form and we will return it completed with license verification, DIR registration, Small Business certifications, insurance certificates, and references.
