Does an ATS provide power by itself?
No. It switches between sources. The alternate source, such as a generator, must also be available and suitable for the connected load.
Is the transfer instant?
Timing depends on source availability and the system sequence. Loads needing uninterrupted power may need a separate UPS solution.
Can a transfer switch be added to an existing generator?
The generator, controls, distribution, and proposed loads need review together. Compatibility and the complete installation scope must be confirmed first.
